POLICE LOG for August 15: Customer Gets Irate After Being Asked For ID When Purchasing Cigarettes; Car Fire

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, August 15, 2021:
  • Wilmington Police, Wilmington Fire & State Police responded to report of car fire resulting from a 2-vehicle crash on 93 South Exit 33 ramp. Airbag deployment with possible injuries. (8:30am)
  • Police spoke with mothers of vehicle owner following complaints of an erratic operator. Owner said son is doing errands. She was advised of his expired license status and complaint of operation from Reading & North Reading police. (9:46am)
  • Fire Department and Police Department responded to report of unattended burn of construction debris on Dadant Drive. Owner agreed to extinguish. (10:36am)
  • A caller reported a woman attempted to buy cigarettes without an ID at Shell Gas Station. When advised she needed an ID, woman got irate, called the manager names, and video taped her. Police responded. Woman had already left the area. (10:59am)
