#2) Attend Wilmington Water & Sewer Commission Meeting
The Wilmington Water & Sewer Commission meets at 5:30pm in Room 9 of Town Hall. The agenda will be posted HERE.
#3) LIBRARY EVENT: Novel Ideas Book Group On Zoom
Enjoy reading fiction? Join the library’s fiction book group led by Adult Services Librarian Erin Driscoll. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured book. This month’s featured book is Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes. The meeting starts at 7pm via Zoom. Register HERE.
#4) WCTV To Hold Candidates Forum Tonight
Wilmington Community Television has announced it will broadcast a Candidates’ Forum between Selectmen candidates Mark Nelson and Judy O’Connell on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 6:30pm.
The forum will air live on WCTV (Comcast 9, Verizon 37), www.wctv.org, and at www.facebook.com/wilmingtoncommunitytelevision.
For Town Moderator Robert Peterson, Jr. will serve as the forum’s moderator.
WCTV is seeking questions from the community that they would like the moderator to ask during this forum.
Community members are invited to submit their questions HERE by Sunday, August 15, 2021.
The Special Town Election will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 8am to 8am, at regular polling locations. Nelson and O’Connell are vying to replace former Selectwoman Jomarie O’Mahony, who recently resigned after moving out of town.
The last day to register to vote for the Special Town Election is Friday August 13, 2021. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open that day from 8:30am until 8pm.
#5) Sign Up For The Veterans End Of Summer BBQ Next Month
Wilmington veterans and their families are invited to a free End of Summer BBQ on Friday, September 17, 2021 at noon at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).
Space is limited and reservations are required. Call the Wilmington Department of Veterans Services at 978-694-2020 to reserve your spot.
