POLICE LOG for August 7: Driver Crashes In Woburn St. Backyard & Flees Scene; Car Strikes Pole Near Heavenly Donuts

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, August 7, 2021:
  • Police came across a juvenile on foot in the Middlesex Avenue mother. Mother called, who responded and picked up child. (3:07am)
  • Black 2017 Kia Sporta struck a pole near Heavenly Donuts on Main Street. Airbag deployed. No injury noted. Vehicle towed. (10:33am)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported a raccoon in a trash barrel. (4:49pm)
  • A caller reported a piece of rebar sticking up from pavement on Main Street in Woburn. Police notified Woburn Police. (6:19pm)
  • A vehicle went over a rock wall and into a backyard on Woburn Street. Wires down. Police responded. Vehicle was empty with report that 2 men fled on foot. Tewksbury K9 responded. Police pinged phone. K9 was able to track to vehicle owner’s residence. 1 of the men was located in the cul-de-sac on Cheyenne. Fire Department responded. (10:24pm)
