POLICE LOG for July 30: Tree Falls On Garage & Vehicle; Moped Operator Cited; Ding Dong Ditch

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, July 30, 2021:
  • An Ashwood Avenue caller reported a group of juveniles rang her doorbell, knocked on her door, and yelled obscenities’. (3:15am)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred on Burlington Avenue. No injuries. Airbag deployment in 1 vehicle. 1 vehicle towed. (6:51am)
  • Police spotted 2 dogs on middle school field. Owners were advised of the leash law and were sent on their way. (10:41am)
  • Police were flagged down by a passerby reporting a dog left in a vehicle in Lucci’s parking lot. Police advised the owner. (11:18am)
  • Police issued a citation for operating a moped without a license/permit and operating a moped without a helmet on Church Street. (12:35pm)
  • Wilmington assisted Billerica Animal Control Officer with a sick fox in Tewksbury. (1:59pm)
  • Police, Fire, DPW and Building Inspector reported to tree down on a garage and vehicle in driveway on Wilson Street. (6:20pm)
  • Police notified Mass Highway that speed limit signs on both sides of the roadway at Route 125 and Andover Street are missing. (7:53pm)
