POLICE LOG for July 24: Ding Dong Ditch At 1AM; Woman Finds Knife While Walking Dog; Fireworks Complaint

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, July 24, 2021:
  • An Ashwood Avenue caller reported that a group of youths banged on his door and ran away. Police were unable to locate. Caller said a similar incident happened last month. (1:20am)
  • A woman found a knife while walking her dog on Benson Road and was unable to close it. She gave to an officer to dispose of. (9:27am)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Tewksbury Police to assist with a hit and run. (11:57am)
  • A caller reported neighbors were lighting off fireworks over the Tewksbury line. Wilmington Police notified Tewksbury. (8:40pm)
  • Target employees were trying to close the store, but a customer and her child could not get a ride a home. Police responded and drove the mother and daughter home. (10:59pm)
