POLICE LOG for July 15: Terrible Highway Crash; OUI Drug Arrest; Animal Control Rescues Sick Fox & Injured Baby Goose

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, July 15, 2021:
  • A car struck a tree on Grove Avenue. One transported to Lahey. Vehicle towed. Response was delayed due to train. (7:29am)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to a report of a nest of snakes on Burt Road. (8:38am)
  • Leann Gallagher was issued a summons for OUI Drugs. A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Concord Street and 93 North. A third vehicle — tractor trailer unit — may have been rear-ended, but is not aware of it. One was transported to Lahey Hospital. Airbags deployed. Vehicle towed. (9:48am)
  • Animal Control Officer brought injured baby goose on Lake Street to Tufts Veterinary Hospital. (12:01pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a microwave fire on Glen Road. (12:48pm)
  • Animal Control Officer removed a sick fox from Oak Street. (2:13pm) <More info from Newhouse Wildlife Rescue on this fox HERE.>
  • TJ Maxx manager reported an ongoing issue of teens coming into the store and being disruptive. Police spoke with manager, who was advised to call when they return. (2:15pm)
  • Elton Diego Dos Santos (33, Somerville) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. Dos Santos was involved in a 2-vehicle crash. (3:32pm)
  • Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on 93 North, near Exit 31. Rollover with ejection. Highway shut down with assistance of State Police, Reading Police and North Reading Police. Medflight responded. (4:21pm)
  • A Sandy Lane caller reported her next door neighbor painted the rear exterior of her portion of the house without her permission. Police advised caller it was a civil matter. (6:49pm)
  • A caller reported 4 juveniles running back and forth in traffic outside Savers. Upon police arrival, juveniles were using the crosswalk and leaving the area. (8:16pm)
