POLICE LOG for July 3: Wilmington Police Assist With Standoff In Reading; 2 Residents Issued Summons; Rollover Crash On 93

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, July 3, 2021:
  • Wilmington Police assisted with standoff situation in Reading on 95 North. Wilmington Fire Department’s light tower standing by at mile marker 57. (4:01am)
  • A caller reported someone dumped paint all over vehicle in driveway on Woodland Road. (7:09am)
  • Police assisted with traffic backed up from highway at 93 South and Lowell Street. (10:22am)
  • A caller reported a resident has shown possession of multiple fireworks on social media sites. Police investigated. Posts appeared to be old. (1:59pm)
  • Michael A. Schuurman (36, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License. Tabetha J. Finn (32, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Intimidating A Witness/Juror/Police/Court Official. (6:19pm)
  • Police assisted Fire Department with heavy smoke coming from chimney on Burlington Avenue. Issue with boiler in basement. (7:40pm)
  • A one-vehicle rollover took place on 93 South, near Exit 38. Two men took off looking for a dog that was in the vehicle. State Police handled scene. Vehicle towed. (11:43pm)
