POLICE LOG for July 2: Scams Reported, Parking Complaints, Lost iPhone

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, July 2, 2021:
  • Royal Street resident reported they lost their iPhone somewhere between their residence and Planet Fitness. (8:53am)
  • An Ella Avenue resident reported check fraud. (9:09am)
  • Police responded to possible car fire on 93 North Exit 39 ramp. Vehicle was just overheating — no fire. State Police handled scene. (12:55pm)
  • Minor motor vehicle accidents on Route 93 North transferred to State Police. (2:21pm, 2:39pm)
  • Police responded to a parking complaint at the Post Office. Vehicle was parked in the lot overnight. Vehicle had actually broken down and belongs to an employee’s son. It will be removed in the morning. (3:01pm)
  • A Cary Street resident reported an email scam. (3:11pm)
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported on Cherokee Lane, parked at the pond. Police responded. Resident was talking with his girlfriend. Parties were sent on their way. (9:45pm)
