POLICE LOG for July 1: Picket On Middlesex Avenue; Rooster Troubles; Injured Hawk

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, July 1, 2021:
  • A caller reported the contractor at 362 Middlesex Avenue is instructing trucks entering and leaving the job site to drive through the picketers. Police spoke with both sides and advised them a detail officer is enroute. Both sides agreed to keep the peace until the detail officer arrived. (7:34am)
  • An anonymous caller reported the pet rooster on Washington Avenue was crowing several times around 4:15am. (9:47am)
  • Police picked up an injured hawk on Woburn Street and brought it to Rowley Animal Hospital. (12:54pm)
