Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television’s “Book Stew:”
WILMINGTON, MA — Hello, Book Stew fans! My July guest is Kate Washington, author of the almost mandatory read, Already Toast: Caregiving and Burnout in America. I heard Kate on NPR, read her in Bitch magazine, and had to have her on the show to share her story of lives turned upside down by a dire medical diagnosis and its devastating repercussions, even for a white family with good health insurance. Kate acknowledges her advantages and plunges into the status of women as ALWAYS being the default caregivers. She’s a champion for us!
