Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Department of Elderly Services, recently published in the latest Town Topics newsletter:
When a life ends, those living are left to grieve their loss. This is often a painful process and it is hard to bear.
A Grief, Loss, Coping & Bereavement Support Group will meet on Thursdays, September 16, 23 and 30, form noon to 2pm, at the Buzzell Senior Center and is open to all adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one and would like to join with others who may be experiencing similar feelings and life challenges.
Nancy Duffy from Beacon Hospice will be facilitating each meeting. Nancy has worked at Beacon Hospice for the past 13 years and has worked extensively in grief support.
This program is hosted by the Department of Elderly Services and sponsored by Beacon Hospice, an Amedisys Company.
