POLICE LOG for June 16: Kids Run Around School While It’s Closed; Couch Falls Off Truck On Highway

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, June 16, 2021:
  • Animal Control Officer removed a deceased squirrel from a rain barrel on Chapman Avenue. (9:32am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Middlesex Avenue and Longview Road. Both vehicles towed. (10:16am)
  • A jeep struck a deer on Main Street. Deer ran off and could not be located. Vehicle had damage to headlights and hood. (1:28pm)
  • Police assisted with traffic during dismissal at Middle School. News crews were on scene. (1:30pm)
  • Police receive two calls that a couch fell off a truck in middle of 93 North prior to Commerce Way in Woburn. State Police notified. (7:24pm)
  • A caller reported juveniles were running in and out of Shawsheen Elementary School. Juveniles ran off prior to police arrival. Police did a walk-through with custodian. Nothing damaged. Doors secured. (8:52pm)
