POLICE LOG for June 8: OUI Arrest After Car Rolls Over On West St. — Driver’s License Was Currently Suspended Due To Prior OUI

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, June 8, 2021:
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Main Street. No injuries. A business’s fence was damaged. Both vehicles towed. (12:34pm)
  • Police received report of a large group of youths riding bikes in the middle of the road on Faulkner Avenue and Glen Road. Police had a conversation with the kids about bike safety. (2:50pm)
  • Police received report of a suspicious vehicle driving around the Marion Street neighborhood for the past hour. Police responded. Driver was working for the Assessors Office. Checked out. (3:06pm)
  • Michael Giuseppe Ciampa (35, North Andover) was arrested for OUI Liquor; Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; Possessing An Open Container Of Alcohol In A Motor Vehicle; Speeding; OUI While Licensed Suspended For An OUI; Marked Lanes Violation; and Leaving The Scene Of Property Damage. Ciampa’s car rolled over on Wes Street. He reportedly fled on foot, but was quickly captured. (7:23pm)
