POLICE LOG for May 18: OUI Arrest; School Bus Involved In Minor Accident; Piece Of Thread Or Something Sinister?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, May 18, 2021:
  • Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident with a mini school bus striking a wall on Jones Avenue. (8:52am)
  • A caller reported her neighbor had chickens on the property over the weekend after being denied a permit from the town. (10:13am)
  • Edmund Barrett Hardy (55, Methuen) was arrested for OUI Liquor. A caller reported a man at Pump #3 at Cumberland Farms was uneasy on his feet. Other customers stated he smelled of alcohol. (1:17pm)
  • A Cottage Street resident reported a piece of string was tied to her front railing. She is afraid her house is going to be burglarized. Police responded. String appears to be a piece of thread from clothing and nothing suspicious. (6:20pm)
