WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Elderly Services Department organized a “Celebration Of Life — Community of Hope” Candlelight Vigil on Thursday, May 13, 2021 on the Wilmington Town Common. The event honored Wilmington residents who passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The vigil, which attracted more than 100 residents, featured remarks from Elderly Services Director Terri Marciello, Case Manager Lisa Pickett, and Wilmington United Methodist Church Pastor Reverend Peter Hey. Music from members of the church choir, a performance from Soundscape, and taps from the Police Department were also part of the evening.
