POLICE LOG for May 3: Shoplifting Arrest; Racoon In Chimney; Injured Duck

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, May 3, 2021:
  • Steven D. Girouard (35, Randolph) was arrested for Shoplifting By Asportation. An off duty officer called in after observing Girouard going through trash and carriages in CVS’s parking lot looking for receipts. (12:02am)
  • Police notified DPW of trash left at Yentile Farm in the park and in the parking lot. (2:25am)
  • Animal Control Officer reported an injured duck in the area of Edwards Road. Officer will leave it alone as it can still fly. (9:53am)
  • Owner of Tender Learning Center on Main Street reported play structures were tipped over over the weekend. Police responded. No damage. (10:58am)
  • A Draper Drive resident reported a racoon in their chimney. (11:05am)
  • During a check, police observed a group of people in the pathway near Ristuccia Arena. Group claimed they were waiting for a food delivery. Police sent them on their way. (8:22pm)
