POLICE LOG for April 27: Group Spotted With Bong; Vehicle Vandalized; Vehicle Egged; Dangerous Backyard Fire

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, April 27, 2021:
  • A walk-in party reported his vehicle was vandalized while at work on Research Drive. (8:27am)
  • A Marion Street resident reported speeding vehicles from 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm. (12:17pm)
  • A caller reported a group was sitting on a bench outside Town Hall smoking a bong. Police responded. Parties were not publicly consuming and were sent on their way. (5:19pm)
  • A Wicks Circle resident reported his vehicle was egged and there are minor scratches on the door. (5:21pm)
  • Police checked on a fire in a backyard on Grove Avenue. Resident was burning a shed they knocked down, but fire pit was just 10 feet from the house. They were advised to extinguish the fire. Fire Department responded. (8:53pm)
  • A caller reported a large gathering in the student lot was preventing vehicles getting out of the lot. Police responded. WHS seniors were playing a game called “Senior Assassin.” Police sent the students on their way. (9:59pm)
