Dear Editor,
Why is it so hard for some people to tell the truth?
I see all of these posts from a certain resident, opposing Articles 60 and 61, who will say anything to try to SULLY the reputations of the people who are proposing the rezoning on Route 125.
First, she said that the former owner of land on Ainsworth Road used to operate a landfill. What she didn’t say is that the landfill was located in Lowell.
Then, when someone put the real facts out there, she compounded her lie, by referencing property that was once used as a landfill on “Ballardvale Street,” suggesting that a different person operated a landfill at the Article 61 site.
The truth is that the “Ballardvale Street” landfill is now known as Research Drive, which is located way down the other end of Ballardvale Street, near the Andover line. Research Drive has been the home of numerous Wilmington businesses that generate millions of dollars in tax revenues. It’s not even close to the proposed development of the land under Article 60. I hope people don’t believe everything they read on Facebook.
All of which leads me back to my original question: Why is it so hard for her to tell the truth?
Peace,
Lou Cimaglia
