POLICE LOG for April 2: Youths Acting Rudely At Wilmington Plaza; Trucks Breaking Down & Causing Traffic Issues

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, April 2, 2021:
  • Box truck became disabled on Federal Street. Drive shaft snapped off. Vehicle towed. (12:06pm)
  • A tractor trailer unit became disabled at Concord Street and Federal Road, blocking intersection. Break lines were snapped. Fleet mechanic on scene. Truck was able to make its way into the parking lot behind K1 Speed. (3:18pm)
  • Youths were causing a disturbance inside a store at the Wilmington Plaza. Youths were continuously coming in and being verbally abusive to staff and patrons, and making inappropriate gestures. Police spoke with youths and contacted their parents. All the youths were picked up by one of the youth’s parents. (4:48pm)
  • Woburn Police notified Wilmington Police of an erratic operator heading into town. Police pulled vehicle over. Driver checked OK. Driver was given a written warning for failure to inspect and speeding. (8:41pm)
  • A large pile of trash was located next to a vehicle in the Market Basket parking lot. Vehicle owner agreed to pick up the trash. (9:04pm)
