#1) Attend Wilmington SEPAC Meeting
The Wilmington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) meets at 6:30pm via Google Meet. Read the agenda HERE.
#2) Library Event: Author Talk with Arkady Martine
Intimidated by science fiction? Learn more about this versatile and often misunderstood genre with Hugo Award-winning author Arkady Martine as she discusses her books A Memory Called Empire, and its sequel, A Desolation Called Peace. This virtual event takes place at 7pm. Register HERE.
#3) Library Event: Baby Time
The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting a Baby Time at 10am. This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.
#4) Library Event: The Galápagos Islands Adventure
The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting a virtual program on the Galapagos Islands at 2pm. The Galápagos, located approximately 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, is a collection of volcanic islands and a nature lovers dream. Through the process of natural selection, the Galápagos are teaming with endemic species found nowhere else on earth. Join Scott Santino Education Manager and Teacher Naturalist at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary for a virtual tour across many of the larger islands and learn about Giant Tortoises, Marine Iguanas, Flightless Cormorants, Darwin’s Finches, and penguins swimming in Pacific waters along the equator. #5) Library Event: All Thirteen Book Discussion
At 4pm, join Brittany for a discussion of All Thirteen by Christina Soontornvat over Zoom! Learn about the incredible cave rescue of the Thai boys’ soccer team in 2018, and keep your copy of the book after the meeting. Don’t forget your bubble tea and Sugus candy kit to snack on during the meeting! For Grades 5-7. Register HERE.
