POLICE LOG for February 15: Postal Truck Breaks Down; Hit & Run At Target; Injury To Elderly Man

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, February 15, 2021:
  • Police was flagged down by a passerby concerned about an erratic operator pulling into Simards. Police responded. Driver was lost and checking to see if Simards was still open. Driver was sent on his way. (2:19am)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in Market Basket parking lot. (11:01am)
  • While providing mutual aid to Tewksbury, Fire Department transported elderly man with ankle injury to Winchester Hospital. Fire Department’s response was delayed by a train. (1:25pm)
  • A caller reported a postal truck has been broken down on Doane Street since Saturday. Police spoke with Postal Inspection Services, which will have vehicle removed soon. (1:55pm)
  • A walk-in party reported a hit & run in the Target parking lot. (3:33pm)
