POLICE LOG for January 12: Man Arrested On Warrants; Hit & Run; Angry Bank Customer; Injured Deer

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, January 12, 2021:
  • Joshua T. Kerwin (42, Peabody) was arrested on two warrants. Police located Kerwin dumpster diving on Research Drive. (2:20am)
  • A 3-vehicle crash with airbag deployment took place at 93 South Exit 40 and Route 62. State Police handled scene. (8:54am)
  • Police received report of a hit and run involving a minivan that fled northbound on Route 125 towards Andover. (1:37pm)
  • Police responded to a hold-up alarm at a Main Street bank. No crime was committed, but a male party — possibly with mental health issues — was having a heating political discussion. There was a dispute over cash, and police advised employee of no trespass process. (1:41pm)
  • Employee reported her vehicle was struck in the bus yard on Lowell Street sometime today between 11am and 2:45pm. (2:46pm)
  • A caller reported a car vs. deer on Salem Street. Deer’s back legs appeared to be broken. (10:45pm)
