POLICE LOG for January 5: Wilmington Man Arrested On Warrant; 2 Teen Girls Run Away From Group Home; Scam Calls Reported

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, January 5, 2021:
  • 2 juveniles from Milestone Group Home on High Street left the facility and were reported missing. The juveniles were entered into the NCIC. (12:28am)
  • A caller reported a landscaping truck struck its mailbox and knocked it off its post. Driver continued on. Police spoke with company and advised them to speak with homeowner to resolve the issue. (9:14am)
  • Police received report an MBTA bus blocked in by a truck refusing to move on Main Street. Bus and truck were gone by the time police arrived. (1:11pm)
  • A Dexter Street resident reported she was an attempted victim of the Grandparent Scam. (2:05pm)
  • A Dartmouth Avenue caller reported a collection agency scam in his wife’s name. (5:00pm)
  • Resident complained of vehicles operating a high rate of speed entering Wilmington from Billerica on Shawsheen Avenue. He stated it was an ongoing issue. (7:56pm)
  • Robert W. Canning (58, Wilmington) was arrested on a Warrant. (8:43pm)
