POLICE LOG for December 27: Homeowner Hears Gun Shots?; Home Evacuated; Residents Being Harassed

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, December 27, 2020:
  • Police and fire responded to Carter Lane due to strange smell coming from a house’s basement. House was evacuated. (11:43am)
  • A caller reported a man who has problems with her brother keeps driving by, yelling obscenities and to “leave my wife alone.” Police provided advice on how to obtain a harassment prevention order. (12:04pm)
  • Police assisted Milestone Group Home on High Street in locating two juveniles who walked away from the program. (5:12pm)
  • A caller reported that he believed he heard gun shots about 10 minutes ago in Grove Avenue area. Caller believes people are walking down the dirt path to the tracks and hunting.  Police came across two parties in a vehicle in the Town Beach parking lot and sent them on their way. They claimed not to hear any gunshots. (10:16pm)
