#1) We’re One Wilmington’s VIRTUAL Festival Of Trees Continues
From We’re One Wilmington:
The 10th Annual Festival of Trees starts Tuesday, December 1 and runs through Friday, December 4! The raffle is online this year – which means more days to browse! The nearly 100 raffle prizes will not disappoint! You don’t want to miss our online auction for a week’s stay in Fort Lauderdale, the annual Sole Sisters Running Club donation which comes with $1,000 Amazon gift card, and tons of gift card donations and prizes for everyone in the family!
Winners will be announced on Friday evening after 9pm. Calls to winners will start promptly at 9am Saturday morning. Prizes must be picked up Saturday, December 5th. Additional details can be found at http://onewilmington.org.
Festival of Trees Dinner Special
Wilmington House of Pizza will be running a “Festival of Trees Dinner” special for the duration of the Festival ($20 for a large cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, and french fries). $10 of each order will go back to We’re One Wilmington. Online Scavenger Hunt
We may be virtual but many of the Festival’s most popular activities are still a go! We’ll be holding our annual scavenger hunt for the kids online. Online Angel Giving Tree
Our annual Angel Giving Tree will be symbolically set up in the hall, but the signups are online. If you are interested in buying a gift for a family in need, please visit our online forms at http://onewilmington.org/volunteer/.
Live from the Festival
Tune in throughout the week for pop-up live video and a special broadcast from WCTV on Wednesday evening at 7pm. We’ll have a narrated tour of the trees, live holiday music, and even the holiday classic “Twas the Night Before Christmas” read by Mrs. Claus.

#2) Watch Wilmington School Committee Meeting
The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room. Residents are encouraged to stay home and watch live on WCTV or wctv.org. Read the agenda HERE. (The School Committee’s Policy Subcommittee meets at 6pm. Read the agenda HERE.)
#3) Watch Wilmington Conservation Commission Meeting
The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE.
#4) Town Yardwaste Center Is Open
The Town’s Yardwaste Center, located on Old Main Street, off of Main Street at the Woburn line, will be open today from 8am to 2pm. Wilmington residents only may use the center to drop off leaves and brush. In order to use the facility, residents must purchase a $15 punch card at the Treasurer/Collector’s Office at Town Hall. The card has no expiration date and is good for 5 visits to the facility. Residents will be asked to show the punch card an an ID at the entrance to the facility. No grass clippings may be disposed at the recycling center due to the odors they create. Stumps will not be accepted. No contractors or commercial vehicles are allowed. #5) Shawsheen Tech’s GSA Holds Fundraiser At Flatbread Company In Bedford
From 3pm to 9pm, the Flatbread Company in Bedford (213 Burlington Road) is sponsoring a fundraiser for Shawsheen Tech’s GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance).
A portion of the proceeds from every pizza sold — both dine-in and takeout — will be donated to the club. Grad a raffle ticket while you’re there!
