POLICE LOG for October 26: Driver Issued Summons; Teen Takes Off From Group Home; Road Rage Incident

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, October 26, 2020:
  • Superintendent requested police have TV news crew move off of  high school grounds and onto public property. Police responded. News crews left the front of the high school and moved to Adams Street. (6:31am)
  • A Chapman Avenue resident reported a scam call from a supposed COVID-19 Relief Fund. (10:05am)
  • A Forest Street caller reported tree on town-owned property was leaning onto her property. DPW notified. (10:48am)
  • Police advised all media at the high school to move from WHS property to the Swain School parking lot. (10:59am)
  • A caller reported a road rage incident on Industrial Way. Man got out of his truck and struck her car with his hand. She told him she had a gun. He backed off and got back into his truck. Police were unable to locate man. (1:54pm)
  • Nicholas John Lavino (20, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Uninsured Motor Vehicle; Unregistered Motor Vehicle; and License Plate Violation. Lavino was pulled over on High Street. (2:17pm)
  • A staff reported a juvenile walked away from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. Police and staff were unable to locate. Entered into NCIC. (8:38pm)
