POLICE LOG for September 27: OUI Arrest After “Wrong Way” Sign Knocked Down; Fire At Dunkin’; Political Lawn Signs & Flags Stolen

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, September 27, 2020:
  • Zachary Woodland (26, Stoneham) arrested for OUI (Drugs), Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Leave Scene Of Property Damage. Woodland damaged signs at Exit 41 South off-ramp, including “Do Not Enter” and “Wrong Way” signs. (1:26am)
  • Donald W. Morris (50, Tewksbury) was arrested for Operating A Motor Vehicle With Suspended License (Subsequent Offense), No Or Expired Inspection Sticker. Morris was pulled over near Firestone on Main Street. (4:59am)
  • Fire Department responded to oven fire at Dunkin’ on Lowell Street. (6:14am)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported “Black Lives Matter” sign was stolen from yard. (9:53am)
  • A Park Street caller reported a “Black Lives Matter” sign and “Joe Biden” sign were placed on their property overnight without their permission. (10:16am)
  • An Arnold Road caller reported their “Black Lives Matter” sign was stolen overnight. (11:03am)
  • A Concord Street caller reported their “Trump 2020” flag was stolen from yard. (1:17pm)
  • A caller reported the Trump rolling rally ran a red light in front of her at Middlesex Avenue and Salem Street. (1:56pm)
  • A Taft Road caller reported finding a makeshift crackpipe on the side of the road. Police retrieved item for destruction. (7:43pm)
