POLICE LOG for September 25: Homeless Man Arrested; Vehicle Damages Gas Pumps; ACO Officer Responds To 6 Deceased Birds

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, September 25, 2020:
  • William F. Sacca (44, Homeless) was arrested on a warrant. Police were checking on a vehicle in the parking lot of Advanced Auto Parts on Main Street. (1:59am)
  • A caller reported a gas leak at the pumps at Sonny’s Mobil on the Run on Lowell Street. A vehicle drove off with the nozzle attached. Gasoline all over payment. Fire Department to handle scene. (4:13am)
  • 93 South Exit 38 off-ramp shut down after what appeared to be an x-ray machine falling off a truck. Debris all over roadway. Sacco Specializing Moving company responsible and sent cleaning crew. (10:11am)
  • Fire Department responded to brush fire off of 93 North, prior to Exit 40. (4:12pm)
  • A caller reported several deceased birds on Fordham Road. Animal Control Officer responded. 6 birds deceased. Likely due to algae in pond. Officer notified property owner and Board of Health. (6:02pm)
  • A caller reported a white pickup truck all over the road on Route 62 on the wrong side of the road. Driver passed a field sobriety test. He was given a citation for hands free violation. (6:05pm)
