POLICE LOG for September 19: Car Spree Suspects Arrested; Driver Strikes Kid On Bike; Lawn Signs Stolen; Car Abandoned In Median

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, September 19, 2020:
  • Nivaldo Desouza (57, Malden) was arrested on a warrant. (1:15am)
  • Police came cross a vehicle in the median on 93 North prior to Exit 40. Driver was having mechanical issues and mother came to pick him up. Vehicle will be towed by State Police. (3:06am)
  • Jennifer J. Chavez-Hernandez (24, Chelsea) was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property Valued At Under $1,200 (x4); Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Revoked Registration; Uninsured Motor Vehicle; Possession of a Class A Drug; Possession of a Class B Drug; and Possession of a Class E Drug (x3). A Broad Street caller reported a party was on her property looking into her vehicle with a small white sedan following. (4:38am)
  • Christopher A. Perez-Valladares (24, Chelsea) was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property Valued At Under $1,200 (x5); Possession of a Class A Drug; Possession of a Class B Drug; and Possession of a Class E Drug (x3). (4:38am)
  • A vehicle struck a deer on Shawsheen Avenue. (7:29am)
  • A Glen Road caller reported both of his vehicles have been gone through in his driveway. Driver license, pilot license, and credit card are missing. (9:23am)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported 4 yard signs were taken. (9:26am)
  • A Grove Avenue caller reported a sign was taken from her front lawn. (10:20am)
  • Callers on Crescent Street, Woburn Street and Glen Road reported vehicles were entered overnight. (12:06pm)
  • A caller reported they witnessed an elderly woman strike a 10-12 year-old on a bike pulling out of the Elia’s Country Store parking lot. Woman and child were gone by the time police arrived. Police were able to locate woman, who was shaken up. No damage to vehicle. Apparently no injury to child. Police were unable to locate child. (2:09pm)
  • A caller reported 3 deceased birds in a Ballardvale Street parking lot. (2:49pm)
  • A Faulkner Avenue caller reported Biden lawn sign was stolen overnight. (3:08pm)
