Wilmington Pan Mass Challenge Kids Bike Ride Goes Virtual, Set For October 2-4

The below information is from the Wilmington Pan Mass Challenge’s website:

WILMINGTON, MA — In response to COVID-19, the 15th Annual Wilmington Pan Mass Challenge Kids Bike Ride will take place virtually over the weekend of October 2-4, 2020.

Riders can choose their own route for this year’s virtual ride, but must register HERE. Riders should follow all public health regulations and guidelines, while practice safe social distancing.

Riders do not have a fundraising commitment, however, organizers encourage all riders to set a fundraising goal to help raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of all rider-raised dollars will go directly to lifesaving cancer research and treatment.

Over the past 14 years, the Wilmington Pan Mass Challenge Kids Bike Ride has raised more than $200,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

The Ride was started by Sue Hendee and Carolyn Priem. Sue is a 29-year PMC rider and a physical education teacher in Wilmington. Carolyn’s son was treated at the Jimmy Fund Clinic and is now a healthy high school student. Six years ago they welcomed Sheila Salois as another coordinator. Sheila is a physical education teacher at Andover High School.
