POLICE LOG for September 15: Car Keyed; Driver Issued Summons; Complaint Over Political Signs & Flags

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, September 15, 2020:
  • A caller reported his vehicle was keyed in a Ballardvale Street parking lot. (9:29am)
  • Simone Santana-Resende (35, Billerica) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. (11:58am)
  • A Shawsheen Avenue caller reported that her neighbors were told to take down a Trump flag due to a town bylaw, but other neighbors were able to keep their Biden sign. Caller feels that this is being unjustly enforced. (12:00pm)
  • A walk-in party reported a social security scam. No information was compromised. (12:24pm)
  • A Lawrence Street resident reported receiving a scam phone call. (4:48pm)
  • A Nichols Street caller reported he trapped a rabid woodchuck under a barrel. Police responded. No signs of rabies. Woodchuck was released. (5:22pm)
