POLICE LOG for September 14: Vehicle Crashes Into Rock Wall, Fence & Mailbox; Police Respond To Call About Gun

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, September 14, 2020:
  • Joshua V. Buchoon (20, Dracut) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and No Or Expired inspection Sticker. (1:22am)
  • A Kendall Street caller reported an unemployment claim was falsely filed in her name. (8:18am)
  • Police notified DPW that street sign for Lake Street was missing. (1:58pm)
  • Police received a group of kids hanging out in the back lot behind AdviniaCare on West Street. Police had conversations with parties and advised them that property owner does not want them hanging out and sent them on their way. (6:47pm)
  • A reported cars speeding in the excess of 50 MPH in the area of Amherst, Shawsheen, Canal and Richmond. (9:16pm)
  • A vehicle crashed into a rock wall, fence and mailbox on Harden Street. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. Driver issued citation for speed greater than reasonable and marked lanes violation. (10:10pm)
  • A caller reported 6 men were at the picnic table at Town Hall and one had a firearm. Police responded. Only one man was located. Pat down found no gun. Search of area turned up nothing. Call unfounded. (11:35pm)
