POLICE LOG for August 30: Tree Falls On Car; Political Sign Complaint; Driver Issued Summons

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, August 30, 2020:
  • A tree fell on a car on Lowell Street. Police, Fire and DPW responded. No injuries noted. Road temporarily closed. (11:55am)
  • Police notified DPW that street sign for Lee Avenue was missing. (1:56pm)
  • A caller stated a political sign is on a town-owned tree on Manning Street and hanging into the street. Police responded. Flag is hung from a tree on private property. (4:41pm)
  • Anonymous caller reported children on ATV’s riding up and down Marjorie Road. Police spoke with homeowner who stated the children took the ATV out without permission and have since been grounded. (6:27pm)
  • A caller reported an exotic snake is dead in the middle of Palmer Way. (9:35pm)
  • Policarpo Lopez (21, Lawrence) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. (10:57pm)
