POLICE LOG for August 29: Shoplifting At Market Basket; Crash Sends 1 To Hospital; Car vs. Barrier

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, August 29, 2020:
  • Police assisted Woburn Police with a crash in Woburn on Inwood Drive. Operator left scene on foot. Airbag deployed and blood on scene. (3:23am)
  • Police came across foam and bucket of sheetrock adhesive in roadway at Glen Road and Middlesex Avenue. Police notified DPW and moved items to side of road. (4:22am)
  • Police notified DPW that brush needed to be trimmed at Ballardvale Street and Old Ballardvale Street. 25 MPH and ‘No Truck’ Signs are partially covered. (10:56am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred near Cumberland Farm on Main Street. One occupant transported to Winchester Hospital by Fire Department. (12:11pm)
  • A vehicle struck a barrier on 93 Overpass on Lowell Street. Airbag deployed. No injury noted. (1:33pm)
  • A walk-in party reported a neighbor put up a camera facing her house and none of his property. She was curious about the legality. (1:35pm)
  • A caller reported a man shoplifted from Market Basket about 30 minutes ago and is no longer on scene. (6:29pm)
