POLICE LOG for August 23: OUI Arrest After Driver Parks Vehicle In Middle Of Street; 5 Trees Down On Salem Street; Teens Causing A Scene

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, August 23, 2020:
  • A walk-in party turned in 3 rounds for flare gun for destruction. (12:38pm)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Tewksbury Police with two teenagers causing a scene and harassing customers at Walgreens in Tewksbury. (2:27pm)
  • A resident reported their social security number was used to try to file false tax return. (2:55pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Sonny’s Mobil on the Run. (3:32pm)
  • Police notified DPW that 4-5 trees were down blocking the roadway on Salem Street, near Shea Concrete. (4:24pm)
  • Alexis Cruz (50, New York) was arrested for OUI Liquor and Marked Lanes Violation. A caller reported a BMW was stopped in the middle of the roadway at Andover Street and Emerald Avenue. Driver appeared disoriented. Caller says man dropped his keys in the roadway and couldn’t find them. Second caller reported man may now be sleeping.  Police responded. (5:46pm)
  • A tree fell on a vehicle on Avalon Drive. No injuries noted. (9:33pm)
