POLICE LOG for August 21: Car Stolen From Avalon Parking Lot; Attempted Theft Of Rims; Driver Issued Summons

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, August 21, 2020:
  • Police came across stack of boxes of text books outside door at Woburn Street School. Nothing appears to be taken but package appears damaged. DPW notified. (1:39am)
  • During check of Yentile Farm, police noticed plastic bottles and ice cream wrappers near rest area and basketball court. (3:51am)
  • A caller reported her red Honda was stolen from Avalon parking lot. Caller left vehicle unlocked with keys inside. Police entered into NCIC. Avalon management will check surveillance footage. (7:56am)
  • Police notified Public Buildings Department of hornets nest on Public Safety Building. (8:58am)
  • Caller from Boston Virtual Design said company will be flying drones over Jonspin Road from 10am to noon. State Police also notified. (9:55am)
  • An Everett Avenue caller reported someone tried to steal a vehicle’s rims sometime last night. Lug nuts were off of the vehicle and jack was left in driveway. (12:07pm)
  • Kaun Goncalves (22, Woburn) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With Revoked Or Suspended Registration and Speeding. (4:32pm)
