POLICE LOG for August 11: Vehicle Stolen Overnight; Cars Entered; Street Sign Goes Missing For 4th Time In 2 Weeks

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, August 11, 2020:
  • A Pleasant Road resident reported his vehicle was stolen sometime overnight. He last saw his vehicle around 8pm in his driveway. (6:27am)
  • A caller requested extra patrols due to vehicles not stopping at stop sign on Fairview Avenue. (7:21am)
  • A caller reported his vehicle was damaged by a Bobcat doing work in a parking lot on Fordham Road. (8:52am)
  • A past breaking & entering was reported on Pleasant Road — two vehicles were entered. (9:24am)
  • Animal Control Officer brought injured goose to Tufts Medical Vet Hospital. (9:45am)
  • A caller reported someone tried to obtain a small business loan using her name. (10:24am)
  • DPW reported street sign for Bailey Road has been taken for the fourth time in two weeks. (10:38am)
  • Manager at Cumberland Farms called police due to a possibly intoxicated man hanging around the store. Man agreed to wait outside for an Uber. (12:26pm)
  • Animal Control Officer assisted Andover Police with removing a raccoon from a dumpster. (2:04pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Main Street near Rite Aid. Air bag deployment. Both vehicles towed. No major injuries — minor laceration to leg. One driver cited for failure to yield. (6:43pm)
