POLICE LOG for August 3: Stolen Jewelry?; Car vs. Pole; Publishers Clearing Hosue Scam

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, August 3, 2020:
  • Police noted a vehicle in the Yentile parking lot. Driver was looking for missing headphones. Police assisted him in his search. (1:33am)
  • A vehicle struck a pole on Salem Street. RMLD and Verizon notified. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (8:13am)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to reports of an injured turkey on West Street. (8:57am)
  • A Houghton Road resident reported hearing a man and woman inside her residence on Saturday morning while in bed. She checked her jewelry box and it was empty. (10:22am)
  • A walk-in party reported her front license plate is missing. She first noticed it was missing in the Red Heat Tavern parking lot. (11:54am)
  • A Lawrence Court caller reported a Publishers Clearing House scam. (1:46pm)
  • A female party reported a black male, approximately 17-18 years old, was following her and taking her photos while she was walking her dog. (8:50pm)
