POLICE LOG for July 20: OUI Arrest; 2 Drivers Issued Summonses; Dump Truck Takes Down Wires

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, July 20, 2020:
  • Police came across a group of people on Town Beach. They were sent on their way. (2:09am)
  • Angelo Fermin (37, Mattapan) was arrested for OUI Liquor. Police responded to a call that there was a vehicle, with a driver who was possibly asleep, in the breakdown lane on 93 North near Exit 40. (4:28am)
  • Police responded to report that a nest fell out of a tree on Chestnut Street, possibly injuring a bird. (11:19am)
  • A caller reported an 18-wheel dump truck pulled down wires across the roadway on Royal Street. Police responded and contacted Verizon. Driver was advised that the vehicle had an expired status and will contact the trucking company. (12:44pm)
  • Rafael A. Matos (22, Lawrence) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle In Violation Of License Class, Operating A Motor Vehicle With Revoked Registration, and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Carlos Almonte (25, Lawrence) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Vehicles were pulled over on Woburn Street. (4:46pm)
