POLICE LOG for July 16: Road Rage Incident; Packages Stolen; Raccoons Stuck In Trash Barrel; Mulch Fire At Market Basket

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, July 16, 2020:
  • Police came across a man walking on Burlington Avenue and gave him a ride home. (1:11am)
  • Fire Department responded to a dryer fire on Horseshoe Lane. (2:56am)
  • A caller reported a road rage incident. Another driver began to tailgate her and tried to run her off the road on Woburn Street. Police unable to locate other vehicle. Woburn Police notified. (7:27am)
  • Animal Control Officer let out two raccoons stuck in a trash barrel on Marion Street. (8:23am)
  • Fire Department responded to mulch fire at Market Basket. (11:23am)
  • Boutwell Street caller reported “Grandparent Scam.” He did not give out any personal information. (12:25pm)
  • A caller reported packages were taken from secure package room twice in past six weeks at Avalon Oaks. (1:18pm)
  • 2-vehicle crash with airbag deployment at Aldrich Road and Avery Street. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. Lawn damaged. (5:11pm)
