POLICE LOG for July 13: Fire Department Respond To Fire Alarms At School Buildings; Water Line Struck; Items Taken From Grave

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, July 13, 2020:
  • Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Roman House. (9:29am)
  • South Street caller reported ongoing issues with neighbor harassing work crew. (10:40am)
  • Police cruiser involved in 2-vehicle crash on Glen Road. No injuries noted. (11:44am)
  • Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Woburn Street School. (11:49am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Middlesex Avenue. Fire Department transported one. One vehicle towed. (12:14pm)
  • A caller reported a pinwheel flag and solar light were taken from her brother’s grave at Wildwood Cemetery in veterans section. Items were placed on July 9. (3:47pm)
  • Contractor reported that while digging on Research Drive, they struck a water line. Water Department responded. (4:29pm)
  • Police received an abandoned 911 call. Police spoke with resident, who said he was resetting his Apple watch and accidentally dialed 911. (4;55pm)
  • Caller reported bushes at corner of Middlesex Avenue and North Street are creating a traffic hazard. Police responded and spoke with caller. Police located bushes in question. Elderly veteran resident is unable to trim bushes. Police will reach out to Veterans Services Department on Tuesday. (8:05pm)
  • Resident reported a party was illegally dumping in the dumpster at Boutwell Street. Police advised party to dispose of trash properly. (9:07pm)
