POLICE LOG for July 11: Rollover Crash On Highway; Fight At Savers; Car vs. Traffic Light; Driver Throws Bottle From Truck

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, July 11, 2020:
  • During a check of Town Hall, police came across two parties and advised them they’re not supposed to be here after hours. Police also found fireworks on the field. Parties on scene stated they weren’t the ones shooting them off. (3:25am)
  • A yellow 2015 Kia Sorrento struck a traffic light pole at Main Street and Lowell Street. Mass Highway notified. No injuries noted. (3:54am)
  • A Shady Lane Drive caller reported their house was egged last night. Caller wanted the incident logged. (8:59am)
  • Police and Fire responded to a vehicle rollover on 93 South at Exit 38. Medflight was cancelled. Fire Department transported at least one individual to Mass General. (11:31am)
  • A Savers employee reported two females were fighting in the store. One was pushing a baby carriage. Police responded. Friends were having a verbal argument. Friend wanted to use her friend’s cell phone and an argument ensued when the cell phone owner asked for the phone back. Clear. (2:08pm)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred at Main Street and Federal Street. One driver was cited for failure to use care while breaking. (2:09pm)
  • A caller reported he was traveling on Route 129 toward Billerica when a bottle was thrown out of a large pickup truck and hit his vehicle, causing a dent in front bumper. Caller declined coming to the station. (6:46pm)
