POLICE LOG for July 9: Kids Climbing On Pavilion At Shawsheen Field; Tractor Trailer Vs. Pole; Car vs. Cement Barrier

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, July 9, 2020:
  • Vehicle struck a cement parking barrier in Eastern Bank parking lot on Main Street. (10:04am)
  • Detail officer heard loud crash from area of pavilion at Shawsheen Field and noticed group of kids. Police located group of juveniles on bikes at Corner Store who admitted to climbing on pavilion. They were advised not to. (1:22pm)
  • Police advised 2 kayakers that the Town Beach was closed and moved them along. (5:47pm)
  • A tractor trailer crashed into a pole at Lowell Street and West Street. Wires down. RMLD and Verizon notified. Driver was given a verbal warning for expired trailer registration. (11:20pm)
