POLICE LOG for July 7: Fatal Highway Crash; Van vs. Bicyclist; Vehicle Egged

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, July 7, 2020:
  • A van and bicyclist were involved in a crash on North Avenue. Unspecified injuries. Fire and Police responded. Bike later dropped off at owner’s home. (5:55am)
  • A Clark Street caller reported their vehicle was egged last night. (12:00pm)
  • A Chestnut Street caller reported an encounter with an aggressive driver. Caller tailgated him home, yelled at him, and tried to instigate a fight. (4:33pm)
  • A caller stated her vehicle was hit while in the parking lot at CVS in Tewksbury. She followed the vehicle into Wilmington and when she realized she knew the other driver, she didn’t want an officer to respond and would handle the paperwork exchange herself. (6:11pm)
  • A walk-in party reported her mother walked away from her Glen Road home around 1:30pm and has not returned. Mother eventually returned. (9:03pm)
  • A caller reported a person was laying down in the roadway on 93 North, prior to Exit 39. Person was fatally struck. State Police and Fire Department notified. Highway was shut down at Exit 38. (10:31pm)
