POLICE LOG for June 22: Man Arrested For OUI In Wilmington Plaza; Driver Issued Summons After Crash

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, June 22, 2020:
  • A pink girls bike was found on Marion Street. (2:15am)
  • Police and Fire Department responded to odor of natural gas in area of CVS and Ristuccia Arena. National Grid notified. (2:38am)
  • David Gerena Jr. (18, Lowell) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, and Speeding. Gerena was involved in a one-vehicle crash on Ballardvale Street. (4:03am)
  • Energy Sciences on Industrial Way reported their outside ashtray/can was stolen again on Saturday, June 20 at 5:20am. Same suspect as prior theft. (6:25am)
  • An Andover Street caller reported a large microwave in the middle of the sidewalk on Andover Street between Ashwood Avenue and Fiorenza Drive. DPW notified. (7:18am)
  • Two tractor trailer units were involved in a crash in the Crystal Trucking Warehouse Corporation on Industrial Way. (8:03am)
  • Baxter J. Wade (64, North Reading) was arrested for OUI Liquor, Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Possession Of An Open Container of Alcohol In Motor Vehicle; and Marked Lanes Violation. Wade struck a curb at the Wilmington Plaza. (1:31pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a brush fire on 93 South near Exit 38. (3:12pm)
  • Reading Light responded to a blown transformer on Marion Street. (5:47pm)
