POLICE LOG for June 18: Train Gates Malfunctioning; Disturbing The Peace; Fire Lane Violation; Neighbor Dispute

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, June 18, 2020:
  • Police noticed 4 children (ages 5-8) standing on side of road on Middlesex Avenue. Police spoke with father, who did not realize children were so close to the roadway. (12:11am)
  • A Jones Avenue resident requested an officer regarding an ongoing issue with a neighbor involving property lines and a new fence. (8:59am)
  • Police noticed a man sticking his head out the drive-thru window at Heavnly Donuts. Appeared suspicious. Man was an employee looking for his phone charger. Checked OK. (11:31am)
  • Police received report of vehicles waiting for Panerea To-Go orders parked in the fire lane. Police spoke with restaurant management. (12:34pm)
  • Police notified Keolis of train gates malfunctioning — arms going up and down continuously — on Salem Street. (4:25pm)
  • Kendal Louise Vaughn (37, Wilmington) was arrested for disturbing the peace and placed in protective custody. A Jacquith Road resident reported a female is sitting on a front lawn with a radio playing loud music. Resident believed it is in response to a lawn sign on the lawn. (9:57pm)
