Below is a press release from the Town of Wilmington:
WILMINGTON, MA — Town Officials are disappointed to announce that, at the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility, there have been reports of far too many players on the basketball courts and trash throughout the park, particularly on the turf field and the basketball courts. Please remember the following rules when you or your family members visit the park.
Social Distancing – Activities on the turf field and basketball courts are limited to no-contact drills and practices – no pick-up games, organized games or scrimmages are allowed. Players should be 6 feet apart from one another.
Carry-in, Carry-out – All patrons are asked to respect the park and take home any trash they bring in. There are no trash barrels on site, and patrons should plan accordingly.
If these actions continue, and visitors do not abide by these rules, the Town may need to close the Park. Clearly this is not the preferred option. Those witnessing inappropriate behavior, lack of social distancing or wearing masks, should contact the Police Department non-emergency number at 978-658-5071. Please help us to keep Yentile open to all who are enjoying it responsibly, and to help us ensure the safety and health of our residents. Thank you.
