POLICE LOG for June 12: Angry Customers At Simards & CVS; Car vs. Motorcycle; Kids Swimming In Silver Lake

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, June 12, 2020:
  • Police noted dumpsters at North Intermediate School and Woburn Street School are overflowing with residential trash. (3:36am)
  • A caller reported a man was angry with her and kicked a shopping cart into her vehicle in the CVS parking lot. (10:42am)
  • A vehicle and motorcycle were involved in a crash at Salem Street and Cunningham Street. Motorcyclist was transported to Lahey. (11:31am)
  • Police received report of a snapping turtle in a parking lot on Church Street.  Turtle was moved into woods prior to Animal Control Officer’s arrival. (2:20pm)
  • A Butters Row caller reported man wearing a construction vest came out of the woods behind his home and was captured on their ring security camera. Police responded. Town Engineer was doing a survey in the area. (3:07pm)
  • Police received report of juveniles jumping off of fishing pier into Silver Lake. Police advised juveniles that swimming was not permitted. (4:18pm)
  • Callers reported a male climbed into the drive-thru window at Simards and threatened staff. Police located man on foot in front of Golden Ginger. Police explained no trespass order process to staff. Staff did not wish to press charges. (9:39pm)
