POLICE LOG for June 9: Driver Issued Summons; Teens Jumping Off Fishing Pier; Unemployment Scams

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, June 9, 2020:
  • Police, Fire and RMLD respond to brush fire at base of pole on Boutwell Street. (6:34am)
  • A walk-in party from Main Street reported an unemployment scam. (10:29am)
  • A walk-in party from Beverly Avenue reported an unemployment scam. (12:06pm)
  • A caller reported kids were jumping off the fishing pier at Silver Lake. Police spoke with 8 teens, who were advised and will stop for the day. (2:15pm)
  • Police were out with a male party on a scooter on Aldrich Road. Police advised party he was going faster than he should be. (7:00pm)
  • Luciano Julio De Andrade (47, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Improper Operation Of A Motor Vehicle.  De Andrade was stopped near CVS on Main Street. (8:28pm)
  • A Park Street caller reported a white SUV just drove over her lawn and kept on driving. (9:40pm)
