Dear Editor,
It is hard to believe that a year ago I was settling into my new role as a member of the Board of Selectmen. So much has happened since then and sometimes it feels like much longer than a year. However, I can say with confidence that in this past year, I have come to realize that this is the most unique volunteer opportunity I could possibly be participating in for the town I love.
This campaign season obviously had a very different feel to it. It doesn’t feel right to put up yard signs or ask for support when the world is sideways which is why I haven’t been “actively campaigning.” However, I think it is important to tell you that my lack of campaigning does not mean I do not take this role seriously. I appreciate all of the time you have spent giving me feedback and your opinions on ways to improve this town and support it in times such as now. I look forward to getting us through this current situation and look forward to the discussions to come on ways we can continue to sustain and improve our amazing town.
With all of that being said, I just wanted to close by thanking you for supporting me this last year in this new role and for giving me the opportunity to continue participating in it for the next 3 years by voting for me on June 20th, should you be able to safely do so.
Thank you,
Jomarie F. O’Mahony
